Brambleton Threads LLC is a family company. Morgan and Barrett Lipkin run the business together. Morgan creates all products and Barrett takes care of many important business issues. They married in 2014, but have supported the other in their artistic, academic, professional, and personal endeavors since 2010.
Recently a Fall 2016 Artist-in-Residence with Red Rock Canyon Natural Interpretative Association, Morgan has fostered a love for cloth and fiber since the age of four. After receiving a B.S. and a B.A. from the College of Charleston, a M.F.A. in Creative Writing from West Virginia University, and teaching, she refocused her energy working and creating through sewing, drawing, and designing.
A studio workshop with Alabama Chanin, and many quilting and applique classes, grounded her passion for sewing and designing. She envisioned a future where she was able to combine her love of sewing and designing with teaching and share it with others. Brambleton Threads is the beginning of this adventurous chapter of life. The name coming from Norfolk, VA and Morgan’s love for brambles, the order to something that seems tangled.
